I finish cosmetology in Puerto Rico end of February next year and plan to take my certification test. I want to move to Florida and would like to know if the licence from here would be honored there. Any help is appreciated.

My Michigan cosmetology license has expired. Michigan said I would have to retake the State Board exam to get my license back. I now live in Georgia. Is there a way I can take the SB exam in Georgia instead so that I can get my license and go back to work in a salon?

I reside in Illinois and I’m interested in becoming a cosmetology instructor. I’ve already graduated, now all I need to do is take my state boards test. Does anyone know the specific requirements to teach in Illinois? Also, another important question is I read a few statistics and it seems that the average cosmetology instructor averages at a salary rate of $45,000-$55,000 per year. Is this true? I am very interested in doing this. If someone could respond I would greatly appreciate it.

So I went to school for Cosmetology in Philadelphia, PA, and graduated there May 2011. I also took part of my exams (Theory) but not Practical in PA. Well I moved with my boyfriend in Albany, NY. I want to take my test there in NY and get certified only in NY. Because well since I probably wont be in PA again, ever lol. In NY state they only require 1000 hours, and I got 1250 from PA. So can I just take the test in NY instead? Because i don’t wanna travel 4 hours back to my old place in PA to take the test there when I am not going back to PA anyway. So… Anyone out there please help. Much appreciated. <3

i have worked for 26 years in oregon and want to relocate to Utah, i know i have to take the practical and the safety and sanitation testing, but do i have to do a shave on someone? I am licensed in everything in oregon , but have not done shaves since the 80′s. I am hoping they do not require this

Question: I attended Deloux cosmetology in 1989 and the school was shut down 6 months after I completed my classes. They were found guilty of fraud and the records were being held for a while. I am trying to locate my hours. Do you know where they might possibly be held. I never got any completion forms from Deloux and they actually kept my grant money instead of paying it towards my tuition.
