I graduated from cosmetology school a few years ago and was not able to make it to my state boards. I was wondering since I missed the free tests how much it would cost me now to take them in order to get my license. Also, is there a time limit fromwhen you graduate to get your license?

I would say yes, but you should contact them either by phone or e-mail and find out everything you need to do as far as getting your working hours notarized and if they have a special form that you need. Of course the different states make changes all the time so it’s always best to check the state board site for any revised rules and regulations.

Even though NY has fewer hours then MO…will my 2 years exp. count for those extra hours so i dont have to retake the exam in MO?
