I'm not sure if this is still helpful to Dmarkis but i am in the same situation as you and i just called NY state board today and they said even though CA is not listed, they still accept it. Just make sure you get a CERTIFICATION of you CA license from CA state board and all other documents. You can get the certification form through their website. good luck!

You would probably have to take their boards, but each case is judged individually so the best thing would be to contact them to get the correct information for your situation.

I am looking into moving to New York City next year from California, and right now there is no indication that NYC has reciprocity, so does that mean I will have to go back to school for hours and take the test again in New York even if california requires more hours to graduate and I also have over 7 years licensed. Please help with info!

Hi Sarah,
Please read this number 7 Fla endorsement . In your case with 3 years you should be able to have your certified hours sent from your state to Florida and go from there. Sorry this is late.

I currently live in New Hampshire and have had my cosmetology license for 3 years. In a couple of months I will be moving to Florida and would like to tranfer my license, but I can't seem to find any information regarding doing so online. Can I just transfer my license or do I need to test over again?
