Indiana- Am I still Eligible To Take State Boards?
I am finding that in most states your hours never expire after graduation, but you are sometimes advised to take a refresher course and you have to be able to prove your hours before you are allowed to take your state boards. Some states only give you a specific amount of time to complete boards after graduation.
You should always try and get in touch with the school you graduated from they are always happy to help their graduates and see them succeed. Also check your state board web site for all updates if you have concerns and questions about the rules and regulations because they change constantly.
Chacha: Hi, I attended cosmetology school in Indiana and completed 1500 hours in 2005, can I still take the examination to get my license?
Answer: I suggest you get in touch with the beauty school you graduated from. Rules and regulations vary from state to state and they would be more familiar with the process you would need to follow for your state. However the candidates handbook is listed below if you would like to read through it..Good-luck. Indiana Candidate Handbook
Since answering the question above I have started a page to find out about credits and if they expire in the different states. Read about Indiana requirements.
