My Beautiful Shadow

November 13th, 2007

I took my Shadow to the vet yesterday and poor old guy ( he’s 9) couldn’t get in and out of the jeep so I had to help lift him several times and hurt my back. He and I just aren’t as young as we use to be. His check up was fine and he got his shots. So he’s good for another year. He is a healthy breed and I haven’t had to overly spend on health care for him.

Shadow is an Eskie and I’ve had him since he was 7 weeks old and he’s been the joy of my life for the past 9 years and yes I feel like he is my true son and yes I give him human characteristics, I simply can’t remember the term for people doing that, but there is one, but I really don’t care because he truly is my baby well little old man now because he’s older than me.

I have never had the desire to dress him up or anything although he has a Harley cap and I have tied a scarf around his neck at times. I use his picture as my Icon, but if you want to see him after he got a hair cut then view Sadie and Shadow. You can also find information on pet care there.

I should have never cut him because his fur never grew back right. It’s now open-ended, it separates into sections. But I really wanted him to be cool in the summer time and since I have never shown him it really didn’t matter. When speaking of beauty, my animals come first to mind.

Just wanted to drop in a note because I didn’t feel like posting yesterday and Bill’s grandbabies will be here tonight for awhile while Chris goes to get a tattoo on her foot even though I was told it’s not legal to do on the top of the foot because blood veins being so close to the surface. If anyone has more information on that I would appreciate your sharing.
