I know that New York state has a requirement of 1000 hours, 500 less than Connecticut. I am wanting to transfer my hours over to new york and when I spoke to someone in a New York state school I was told that I would be able to take a 900 hour equivalency test as well as bring in my obtained hours into their school and finish within a month. Now they are saying since I live in Connecticut, I am only really halfway done with New York requirements and would have to be in school for 500 hours more than what they origionally thought. Maybe you misunderstood what they said.
