Learning To Improve Our Personal Life

We all have room for improvement and some of us need it more than others.Life is so short, but we don’t always realize that until it’s too late. We think that we have all the time in the world to change the quality of our life to improve on our personal life and make things better. I know I sometimes get into a rut and it’s hard to get out of it. Some of us need to build up that self esteem and start taking control and make our personal life better and it doesn’t hurt to try helping others, we learn that other people in the world may be worse off than us.

There’s many ways we can start improving, the best way I have found is to sit down and make a list of all the things I don’t like about myself and make sure the most important ones are at the top and then simply start working on each thing I want to change and just because I am now able to start putting check marks by the ones I am getting better at doesn’t mean I have to stop working on them.Breaking a habit or any type of behavior modification doesn’t happen over night. It takes time, but we know we can change and improve if we want it bad enough. The mind is very powerful.

People learn early how to lie to their self and others and it happens because our world is so full of suspicion, theories, philosophy, opinions, guesses, and conclusions. Your first action to start unlocking doors is to be honest. When you’re honest with others and yourself, it helps reduce emotional chaos. When a person lies, they live in denial, anger, misery, hopelessness, etc and often drown in their own pity. Stop the pity and hop on the road, traveling down the trail ways to discover the keys that unlock your doors to success. To get started tell the truth about something that hinders you. You have to learn how to find your own truth before you can improve the quality of your life. I am still finding my own truths at 54, but I must say my personal life has never been better and I had to make some drastic changes to achieve that, but it’s possible.

Do you have a job, do you get out of the house or do you find yourself just laying around the house doing nothing and feeling bad about yourself? Go visit a friend or if you don’t have any go make some. Do some volunteer work if you don’t have a job, anything to get you out of the house and start enjoying your life.Join a class and start talking to people or on the other hand, if you feel like your friends or family members are pulling you down and holding you back you may have to make a choice. You may need to remove some of those people from your life. You don’t need anyone holding you down believe me anyone can live happily and be productive without family and friends if you have to, It worked for me and you don’t need anyone holding you back, It’s your life.

Learn how to observe because when you listen and hear the things around you, you learn more than you would by reading a book. Observation is the key to achieve. Observation, includes self-awareness. Stand back and take a hard look at you. Don’t persecute or self-judge yourself instead look for ways to make your life better. Work on building your self confidence, trust, self-awareness, self-motivation and all the others.You have to figure out what works for you and get motivated.I know I have to start exercising more instead of working so much because I want to live for a long time with Bill. I am definitely getting out of shape. I bought The Bean inflatable because of my back so that is a start.
