You will learn about the physical demands that are expected and they include working

You will have to keep up with the towels and cleaning up and appointment desk duties may also be required.

There are many chemicals involved that you may be allergic to such as bleaches and hydrogen peroxide, perm solutions, cleaning products, and Blood Waste which you have to follow osha guidelines which you will learn. There can also be a very high stress level to deal with, but it can be very fulfilling if you have the aptitude for this type of career.

    Hi Roei,
My advice would be to check with the academy and see what opportunities might be open. There is usually always a list on the bulletin boards and you can also get in touch with the different beauty companies and send in a resume and ask how you can apply to their program. You can also attend beauty shows and talk to the platform artist and they will give you some good advice.

My name is Michael Mazzerina and I have been a stylist now for 10 years. I was a Design Artist for a little while with Sebastian. I am looking to get involved again in a company similiar to Sebastian. I would love to be a Platform Artist and dedicate more of my time to this side of the industry and less in the salon. What can I do to become a Platform Artist and does the salon I am in have to carry the line as well?
