Dieting Health and the Beauty Within

I saw on the news last night that they are doing studies about why stressed people gain weight and other people without stress eating the same foods as the stressed person do not and the doctors response was to tell people not to eat when they are stressing. How clever, dang wish I had thought of that.

People love to eat and we tend to stuff things in our mouth that we know will add on those pounds. Eating is very satisfying and comforting.We eat out of emotional need or when we are depressed. None of us like to diet, but some of us have tried everything to be and get that perfect body image. Our culture is forcing us to be obsessive about that external beauty.

As I said before beauty is in the eye of the beholder and no one should have to feel like they have to look a certain way to be beautiful. If you feel like your unhealthy then thats when to lose a few pounds, for health sake not for outward beauty sake. I do not want to look like those skinny models and apparently the world view is changing some also. Actually real women do have those curves.

You have to find happiness and peace inside before any dieting success will really take effect. Instead of trying to create that new image to hide behind work on the inside first because if your not happy as an over weight person being thin will not solve your problems either. I have been up and down in weight all my life, sure I look a little better when I lose a few pounds, but I don’t let people dictate how I’m suppose to look.

If you can find contentment within your life then chances are depression will no longer control you and those eating habits could also change. It can be very profound if you love and accept who you are. Then maybe we wouldn’t be so stressed all the time and add those pounds.

Don’t let the scales define who you are. Put them away. Once you get to that place where you are happy with your appearance and feel that your personal fitness level is in hand discuss things with your doctor and see what he or she has to say. We women do not have to all look the same. In fact with so many body types I find it silly to even bother.What we need are women who are self-aware and self confident and not afraid to be who they are on the inside regardless of how they look on the outside.

Finding the beauty within is often the most important aspect of dieting that there can be. Forget what all those magazines tell you. Learn to accept you on the inside and the outside will follow and you will see you don’t have to hide anymore.
