Beauty Starts Within
It is true that beauty starts within. If you don’t love yourself and appreciate who you are then how can you expect someone else to appreciate you? We have to first work on the inside then we can enhance the outside. Confident people have an air about them that is irresistible.
When I was growing up I was always told pretty is as pretty does and it’s very true. I have met people that were absolutely stunning to look at, but had such dreadful personalities that I didn’t care to look at them or be around them and I know other people know exactly what I’m talking about.
We live in a culture that expects a certain perfection of features and body and it’s not fair. The beauty and fashion industry would love for us all to look the same, but I don’t want to look like everyone else. When I worked in the shop young ladies and young men would always bring a picture of their idols and ask for that hair cut and say that they wanted to look just like them.
Well granted I could do the hair cut, but if their hair was a different texture it was never going to be just like the picture even if the cut turned out just like their idols hair they still didn’t have the features of the other person so it was still not going to look the same. Young people have such high expectancy and hopes.
A good hair cut can do wonders for your look, but it needs to flatter your features not someone else’s. The real secret to being beautiful is a positive outlook on your own image and a belief in yourself. If you feel good about the way you look you’ll find that your overall outlook about yourself and your live could improve drastically.
Women who feel good about the way they look are happier in their day to day lives and are less hung up about what they eat and counting calories, and are less likely to have problems with depression or anxiety. If you can find just 30 minutes a day to do some simple exercise or visit the spa for a relaxing day of pampering, have a manicure or facial you’ll be surprised at how much better you will feel about yourself.
Always remember that beauty shines from within. Having a positive attitude about yourself will reflect and be evident to everyone around you, no matter what your size or the way your features are. Try to stay away from negative people and make your life a positive one and people will see the beauty that you possess.
